Very Best Summer (VBS) Annual Summer Camp

Program rundown:
Welcome to our annual summer program at First Presbyterian church of Babylon! We’re glad you decided to spend part of your summer with us this year, this year’s theme is “Hometown Nazareth, where Jesus was a kid”. We have a very exciting and fun program planned this year! Listed below is a break-down of this week.
Monday - Kick off day | T-shirt’s will be given
Tuesday- Christmas in July | Please dress your child in red, green, or a Christmas themed t-shirt
Wednesday - Wacky Wednesday | Please dress your child in an old VBS shirt, if you don’t have one it will be provided to your child.
Thursday - Silly Hat Day | please wear a silly hat and bring an old shoe for an arts & crafts activity
Friday - Last day | Please wear your VBS shirt that was given on Monday.
Sunday - We have a fun celebration planned on Sunday, Aug 4th. Our Community Life team is providing brunch, and the kids will sing the song they are being taught in VBS.
This week’s recap:
During this week of camp, your child will:
Learn ASL to go along with our music
Learn Biblical stories and verses
Eat snack
Have fun!
Day 1 - Recap
Today…
We made Christmas Cookies
We played kickball and made arts & crafts
We learned where Jesus was born and who his family was.
Key Verse: “For nothing is impossible with God” (Luke 1:37)
Bible Story: Mary is chosen to be Jesus's Mother (Lule 1:26-38)
Bible Point: Jesus has a family and we do too!
Day 2 - Recap
Today…
We ate Christmas cookies and had Hot Chocolate
We celebrated Christmas in July!
We walked through Mount Everest!
Key Verse: "I have called you by name; you are mine." (Isaiah 43:11)
Bible Story: Jesus is born and gets his name (Luke 2:1-40)
Bible Point: Jesus had a name and we do too!
Day 3 - Recap
Today…
We made slime!
We had lemonade and Goldfish
We explored Egypt
Key Verse: "There is more than enough room in my father’s home" (John 14:2)
Bible Story: Jesus's family escapes to Egypt
Bible Point: Jesus had a home, and we do too!
